Prayers

One never knows how a day will start or end. It’s been well over a month but not quite 2 yet, since some news came from one of my family branches. It hit like a brick. Not only because it’s family, but because this cousin is also a brother in Christ and one I consider like a first cousin.

His Dad and my Dad are first cousins. He and I were born the same year. He’s in the middle of 3 brothers and two of them are band geeks like me. He and his younger brother would be at the Greene County Band Festival when I was there with a couple of my first cousins from White River Valley. A long time ago… but these are precious memories for me.

Those 3 brothers are still intertwined in my life for different reasons. One is even my Preacher now. There’s a special memory at Fellowship when the kids or teens rather take over the service on a Sunday evening. I was the pianist and the two oldest boys gave the message and did the song leading, boy that’s been a while too.

We have different grandparents, but we share the same great-grandparents on the Bishop Family side. Now as of this week, besides this cousin having surgery today out of the state, I have an Aunt and an Uncle in hospitals in the area. It’s a lot happening yet the Lord can handle these burdens for us. My parents, niece and I were able to visit with my aunt who has to have some infusions for a week. However, her sister’s husband was sent to a hospital a little ways away from them. Like I said so much at once.

Hopefully I will have this pillow completely finished this evening.

Prayer is still such a powerful tool that we hold as Christians. When it seems there is nothing else physically we can do or an action we can always go to the Lord in Prayer and bring these burdens to Him. Just before we went to visit my Aunt I was able to finish the iron transfer for a pillow I have been wanting to complete.

We all need prayers. I wanted to couple this prayer with the Lord’s Prayer. I am excited about this piece. I want to make a couple different versions of this pillow. Please keep our Family and Community in your prayers. It is a powerful tool don’t forget it.
