Surprise

When I was thinking about my next article I was going to articulate the events of Saturday a little deeper. However, after starting my early bird routine something caught my eye on the way back from those duties. It was a bit startling to the usual morning atmosphere.

Ever since Kodie Girl died a few years ago we have been wanting another dog. Three of us, my mom, my younger brother and I have been desperate for the right one. My niece is a modern version of Ellie Mae Clampett and is always wanting puppies and just loves animals in general pretty much.

Double trouble though is not what we have ever really expected. This photo though shows German Shepherd sisters that were left at our doorstep in the middle of the night. The circumstances could be much worse though perhaps this could be a blessing that we all have been praying for discreetly.

My goodness if she had been here today she would be all over these dogs, much like I have been today for her. I cannot tell you all how much I have needed to play with a dog like this and how big my smile has been all day long. Like I said though there are two dogs, not exactly babies but they are still young. It’s like they were placed here at the right age and at a time when they were most needed.

The real person who needs these dogs is my brother. We shall if time will tell if he tries to associate with them or he avoids them simply because we believe they can help him. Plus there are a couple decisions to be made. Can we keep them, both of them? We still have to figure this all out even though a couple of us are already feeling on top of the world with these two beautiful gals wanting our attention.

Isn’t it funny how the Lord works sometimes! They were sitting literally on the other side of the wall from me this morning before we found them contented in mom’s flower pot.
