The difference in the past two weeks is quite interesting. My parents took a trip and I found myself the cook, house cleaner and then… a patient. This vacation had been planned for a while for my parents to enjoy several days away in Missouri.
My appointment was set before I heard about this little vacation, but it was good for my parents and for us to have some different ranging chores. Thankfully I got a lot of what I wanted to do cleaning wise in the first 48 hours. I was able to clean out a much needed section of the pantry. It was also a good feeling to be able to take out the kitchen supplies still in some totes from earlier this year and put them back into the pantry.
Truly I was a woman with a mission to get as much cleaning and putting up as I could. However, because of that I didn’t get as much of my current projects worked on hardly at all until Saturday. The shot in my wrist on Thursday turned me upside down a bit. I haven’t had a shot affect me like that before. In fact all I remember from the shot in my right wrist was that it felt so good I could feel its amazing effects all the way down to my bad right ankle.
Thursday night and Friday most of the day were not easy times for me. I had been all go, go, go until then. My younger brother even had to help me cut up potatoes. He doesn’t usually like to take my orders and he did that morning. Also because I was cooking one of his favorites; bacon. So in contrast I am working on my projects and getting some progress on more than one of them fortunately.
I wanted to get so much more done, before they returned. If it wasn’t for my hand being plum useless and having to get an x-ray on Friday I just might have gotten a little more on my list finished. Still getting more kitchen stuff put up and moving totes out of the kitchen area was a big accomplishment. It felt good to be able to do a small part of what we keep talking about, but haven’t had time to do before.
