Gymnastics hands down. Probably because I am biased with my time at Club 10 from Sullivan and another place I took gymnastics with as a child. Skating has also been a favorite part of the Olympics for me too. Maybe I’ve watched “The Cutting Edge” too many times. I still remember the horrible incident with Tonya Harding stabbing Nancy Kerrigan. When I was in school one of the leading female skaters was Sarah Hughes.
The Olympics have been a fun past time for my family to watch over the years. That is until the most recent American Flag outrage by American athletes forgetting what the flag stands for and why we respect the flag in relation to our Veterans. They take for granted how they got to the Olympics as American Athletes. This freedom we enjoy is because of the those who have sacrificed to give us these freedoms to celebrate freedom with such a fanfare called the Olympics.
