Writing Prompt:

Name your top three pet peeves.

Well one of my biggest pet peeves came from time working as a cashier. I came into contact with money meaning cash on a daily basis. I saw people with dirty hands and dirty money, and sick with coughing or sneezing on their hands and money. Plus the store was a grocery store as much as a retail store for all kinds of products. There were exemplary experiences I had to deal with handling money and then food including meat with juices ready to burst all over my register. Some customers didn’t say a word and some customers got mad at me. One instance comes instantly to mind with a fellow church member; it was difficult to please everybody. It is also why I tried to always keep little bottles of Bath and Body works antibacterial soap with me at my person usually my vest when we wore them. Because of this I wash my hands no matter what based on my past experiences especially when I have kids around. I have become OCD about this from this one job.

This is hard to think about, but I guess number two would be I like my food to be warm. I don’t like making food until I know people will be there to eat it warm unless it warms up well. Most of my Mexican comfort food needs to be eaten warm though and doesn’t do well in the fridge or to warm up later.

A third pet peeve would have to deal with my allergen. Especially lately I have had to deal with taking extra Benadryl because my allergen has been horrible due to extenuating circumstances called stubborn headed supposed relatives; one of my brothers and his family. It doesn’t bother them to live with dogs all in their business literally, but they have pretty much decided they don’t care how it affects me. It’s difficult to say no to my niece I want her to still come over here, but I need a safety zone. I have had too many slight fevers, sneezes, and bad migraines but this doesn’t seem to change their behavior. So my room and my chair where I do my reading, typing and needle crafts need to be my safety zone. Thank God I don’t have trouble enough to need an EpiPen like I used to when I was younger cause I have never had anaphylactic shock. The effects however, are nauseating and take sometimes a couple days to wear off because dog dander can live up to 6 months on furniture if not cleaned on clothes for a week if not washed. I have had to deal with this at various times, but this year I have dealt with it because in this case it is more of a people issue not the dogs or my niece it’s a behavior issue and I and my niece are caught in the middle of it.
