You have three magic genie wishes, what are you asking for?
Magic genie wishes… I grew up watching and singing along with Aladdin. In my school choir I remember us even singing that song, “Friend Like Me.” One of my favorite songs though was the duet between Princess Jasmine and Prince Ali, “A Whole New World.” One of my favorite versions of this song was performed on a special for Mark Lowry. Sandi Patty and David Phelps were the singers and that performance was amazing and I have it on CD somewhere. It’s one I have listened to over and over again through the years.
As far as my wishes I would ask for… there are a few, I guess, I would have. Like I stated in the last writing prompt our dog died and we haven’t had success in finding the next newest member of our family. Finding one would be high on that list even though I have an allergy to dog and cat dander I love those four-legged cuddly friends. I just don’t want to sleep with them or have them in the house. Thankfully I don’t have anaphylactic shock, but it is pretty miserable to go through.
My second one would be that Bryan’s work matters would be resolved and we would finally be here together. It would be nice for my dream of work to come together too. Last night something floated into my inbox looking very much like my answer though we shall see.
The last one would be about growing a family once we are allowed to be together. Usually though these are matters I take to God not a genie. As much as I enjoyed Robin Williams portray that lovable genie in Aladdin his life showed a different reality. Did he think to try Church for his depression, who knows! He did bring joy to a lot of faces including mine and my family through the years with his many shows. August Rush was the hardest show to watch for me because I did love watching him and that was a different side of him that was harsh, yet the movie was incredible I loved the plotline.
