September 21st…

Such a busy day for our family emotionally as it was physically. There are so many facets to this day like there were on Saturday, March 15th, the day after my earlier surgery this spring. Part of being a journalist at any level from amateur, beginner to advanced journalism means offering up intense glimpses of our lives and what we deal with honestly even as we may have to heal through the conversational process of writing or typing.

Finding out how and when is not always the easy piece of that jigsaw puzzle. Another level of difficulty is that while I am in the middle of this I am not the one experiencing the mental difficulty. In a family though we all share diffusing elements of the difficulty because of our relationship to the one that’s actually going through the ordeal. We are all intertwined for good or worse, but we do try to raise each other up in spirits. Prayers work beyond our complete understanding; they are a marvelous tool in our quest to live godly lives.

Sunday the 21st was a day where prayers and the power of prayer was felt in our family, church and Country on that Memorial Day in Arizona. Pray for me as I try to give this amazingly intricate day of little miracles and moments of terror the justice it deserves.
