A National Divorce?

Over the last few months I have been reading a book written by Brian Kilmeade. “The President and the Freedom Fighter: Abraham Lincoln, Frederick Douglass, and their battle to Save America’s Soul.” Just a couple of weeks ago I read the pages detailing John Brown and the unfortunate circumstances of the Federal Arsenal that would be deadly.

One of John’s best friends was a little girl. Frederick Douglass’s little girl who would also end up dying before becoming a woman at the young age of 11. The words national divorce sound ridiculous. Marjorie Taylor Greene has had her moments, but this is quite a doozy, about as bad as the ones calling for war or a civil war.

Seriously, the Civil War was bad enough, brother fighting brother in some instances and fighting like the Revolutionary War around families homes and even taking over homes. Obviously it happened more in the south than it did in the North, but fighting was nasty during the American Civil War. Please if you get a chance to visit the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum take the opportunity. There is an entire room dedicated to showing how many of both the North and South Armies died during that long, gruesome war.

Who exactly is calling for war? Have you taken stock of the ones using those specific words? They are not men who have been in combat and seen what happens in war. These people have not served and are only trying to instigate more fiery rhetoric to be heard by minds who are willing to listen to this trash and take it farther than they should because they have heard it so much they believe what they hear. It’s sad. We pray for these individuals because they are so vulnerable and can’t see reason to save themselves from the Liberal lies that are fed them through the media and the internet literally 24/7.

The Conservatives and Republicans don’t want war at all. We are law abiding citizens. It is why during the BLM riots you saw the so-called ‘Summer of love’ and yet last Wednesday night you saw prayer vigils and not one riot from our side for the entire week since this has happened. The differences should seem astounding to those who remember quite vividly the Left’s wrath night after night. Even here in Indiana I remember the little outbursts here and there in what some might call hick towns. I also remember seeing on the news what happened in our state capital a Republican state with Democrat leadership in Indianapolis. The destruction to his historical structures was abhorrent. Even in Terre Haute punks showed their wrath an hour away from my home.

They wanted their tentacles known everywhere. They wanted fear to lurk in every corner. However, we don’t live like that. We will not live in fear and that’s not what Charlie would have wanted and that’s not how he would have lived. He would not like this suggestion at all. He would want to have a national conversation instead of a national divorce. This is where Erika’s words from Friday night come into play we are already seeing her strength and poise from that evening guiding hearts. Now it’s our turn to use what Charlie has taught us and go forth to show the courage he did and to use it in force together. There is a scripture verse about this I’m sure Charlie knew this one well. We are the 50 States of the United States for a reason people can leave one state for another state and they have been for the past 4 years.

For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. Matthew 18:20
