Share a lesson you wish you had learned earlier in life.
The main idea that comes to my mind is what I have previously talked about in other articles. My grandfathers died in their 70’s, I didn’t realize when I was younger how much I would miss them in my 20’s, 30’s and now as I embark in my 40’s. The Lord has given me such blessings to enjoy my Grandma’s as an adult woman having my Grandma around for dinners and even now to sit with both of them at their respective churches on a Sunday by Sunday basis at different times in my life.
I will never forget Grandpa telling me I could sit with him and Grandma Rosie in class at Fellowship those couple of years before his death. I cherished sitting with them, until the day I was sick and Papaw Freddy gave his last testimony. It’s the requests, the things, you don’t take advantage of that you really miss; not the things you end up doing. Life is not promised to us, time with loved ones is precious and fleeting. Take advantage of the little moments.
