A Tragedy

The name Charlie Kirk did not come to my attention until January 2021 I believe. It was when I left Facebook for a time and found myself going from one platform to another following Conservative voices. Being out of college for awhile it took me a while to learn about him as well as others I was following and watching on what I would find myself on Gab for a little while and now Telegram for 4 plus years.

He was a refreshing voice for the Conservative movement called MAGA. Charlie was common sensical and traditionally Christian. The irony of this timing is that tomorrow is September 11th and Charlie was 31. He would have been maybe 7 years old on that horrible day. How much of that day did he recall? Is this why he made it his mission to stand up for college students when he saw personally the indoctrination of the staff at the collegiate level? I tend to analyze events or actions and these are the questions I ask myself today.

The Lord had worked in his life his impact is greatly felt today. I saw messages in my Telegram feed by 3 pm and the television went live with the breaking news in seconds. I knew instantly how big this was having been a person who saw how amazing his work was and it was working with the youth of America.

If not for this man Charlie Kirk, President Trump may not have won. That is a scary fact to say. He was instrumental! The Lord gave him the charisma he needed to reach college kids and help them question the status quo of college life and some of the bananas crap the teachers expect them to digest.

It was this man who went as far to question Liberal women and their use of abortion control and their attitudes on life in general. It was not easy to speak the truth on this issue being a woman’s issue of my body, my choice. Yet he made me think harder about that issue when Bryan and I would have some disagreements that I may have started unknowingly. It made me wake up to something that was happening because of that issue it kind of scared me, but it helped our relationship to get past an issue that was hurting us for a while. I am grateful for having seen that article from him maybe earlier this year.

Goodness today has been such a busy day earlier before 3 pm. Now I feel like we have lost one of our great American Patriots. Yet not before he was able to make a strong youth movement that is so strong right now. We need to continue to pray for his wife, kids and family. God bless our American Christian Patriots.
