Where did my name come from?

Well I have answered this many times. It goes back to my Grandpa Freddy’s name and he was named by his older sister Maxine. She loved to read and was in a singing quartet herself that went all around Greene County. Frederick Alton Jewell was from Worthington, Indiana so somehow she got to know about him and liked his name.

My older cousin Anna’s name was already named for Grandma Rosmary so my parents thought it was fitting to give me Papaw’s middle name. Know as an adult knowing all of this about my name I cherish the whole incredible story even the part that Frederick created marching band music, because that was one of the highlights of my life as a band nerd in high school.
