Writing Prompt: What Motivates You?

The general answer to this is that God has a purpose for me. Everyone born and sadly those that are created and unborn in the womb have a purpose. Roe versus Wade wouldn’t have been reversed just a few short years ago if those unborn lives didn’t weigh heavily on the minds of mothers and fathers as well as Christians who knew it’s wrong to murder innocents.

Even the blood of the first murdered human cried out to the heavens to God. He was not a child, but that death mattered to our God. Life is precious, although when Able was killed they lived for centuries not like a vapor in our now modern world. Knowing that God knew you before your mother began to form you into her womb for a specific reason or perhaps reasons; that’s goosebumps territory. It can be a lot of pressure, but God believed enough to create you and the abilities he would give you. When I do not write and share stories of how God has worked in a situation in my life I feel I am not where I need to be meeting the moment God has given me. Recently a blessing allowed me to purchase this upgrade for the next year. God led the way for me to feel inspired from the past absence during this season of healing for me and now I am ideas coming.

My problem is that everything is happening all at the same time and I am trying to make time for it all. Plus I began to lose my determination to have good articles earlier this year and last year. I want to make sure I’m properly putting in the time for a second or third read through. Seriously though a lot happened after surgery and I am also trying to remember the little details that made big impacts on me during those first few weeks.

I am motivated because God gave us Christians this in Mark 15:16: “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” There is a saving grace that needs to be emphasized in this message and keeping silent goes against this command.

Motivation and purpose for me comes from the same place. It’s why Sunday School and church are so important in those early years of a child’s life. I’m grateful that I grew up with God-fearing families on both sides of my family that taught me these lessons to me.
