Wow this week has gone by fast. Thankfully the hospital didn’t make me wait all day. I got my arrival time before 9:30 this morning. It helped my day because of that fact.
Fortunately for me and Dad my surgery is early this time. I will have to be up at least by 5 am to do the last bit of my cleaning procedure, before we will need to leave sometime by 6:30 am. This allows surgery to be over before noon and Dad can easily get to work that evening. Thank you Lord, for your little blessings! Plus we won’t be racing to get my pain medicine from the pharmacy before they close up on the way home.
There are a couple of times I have gotten a little nervous today. Especially since it’s 48 hours to surgery day. The realization briefly made me panic for a few seconds a couple of times. It’s okay though I just remember I have been through 5 other surgeries and this time I have some advantages I didn’t have the last time.
Tonight for fun I made a “Taco Pizza.” When I took a bite of my creation though it tasted more like a cross of a beef burrito and a quesadilla. I love making different kinds of pizza. Not too long ago I did a take on the Italian Beef on my homemade pizza crust. Each different pizza has different herbs in the crust. There is something so imaginative with each one I make. I probably have made a different “Taco Pizza” with each new crust I prepare.
Cooking was my way of deflecting though because I won’t be able to make pizza very easily with only my right hand for 2 months. So this was my comfort dream pizza until I can make another idea come true in a few months. Mediterranean Pizza might be my next with Lamb possibly… who knows.
