My earlier post this week sounded like a pity party didn’t it? The irony is that this week, once that article was posted it felt like a light had to shine on what I was talking about in that long winded piece, in order for the good to finally pop out.
The confirmation hearings began this week. Never in my life have I been so eager to watch and listen to Congress and their hearings until the past 4 years. Now I haven’t just sat and watched all 4 hours of Pete Hegseth’s hearing, but I did watch parts here and there. The same goes for Pam Bondi’s as well. Unfortunately I haven’t seen much from Sean Duffy’s yet and only a tiny bit of Marco Rubio’s hearing. These hearings have been the buzz of the week though.
Smiling faces have been all over the news about the posture of the Trump picks on their literal hot seats in these Congressional Hearings. I have personally heard more from Hegseth and Bondi’s hearings than all of the rest, because of the combative Democrat Senators who ended up with egg on their faces for even trying to make the candidates look bad. These candidates are professional, know the ins and outs of their jobs to the last millimeter, they are also fast on their feet with amazing rebuttals to the gotcha questions, most of all it all shows how prepared each one is for this moment in their lives.
Isn’t it nice to see men and women qualified for these posts within this new administration? The word qualified meaning they actually have experience in the fields they will be working in unlike the previous administration. Thank You Lord for this upheaval election victory that we so needed to realign the trajectory of our wonderful, special country and just in the neck of time before our 250th Birthday.
This week, even realizing my birthday as always, coincides with Inauguration Day I can be proud this time around as opposed to the last time. It was a day I don’t want to remember, because I felt like my heart all of a sudden became numb that day that it was real and not a nightmare I could wake up from.
Americans are excited again. These nominations appear to be gaining momentum and will most likely pull through to get the votes they need. There is one little speck on this momentum though. As a Hoosier I can say this without qualms I read an article from either the Gateway Pundit or Conservative Brief about Mike Pence, my former Governor. He is trying to make waves for RFK’s nomination. He’s trying to lobby Senators against voting him into the administration. Maybe I have read too much information I just do not like this guy and he’s from my state, but I do have respect for RFK and what he wants to do with his health initiatives. I don’t understand his motives here.
Anyhow hopefully most of them will understand he is, a has been, now. His opinion doesn’t matter. This has been a win win situation for Robert F. Kennedy and Trump gaining a Democrat friend and ally plus making America healthy again. This is a good partnership and he’s trying to play politics, when no one asked his opinion and he’s no longer on the political scene.
Do you feel the excitement? Do you see how these nominations will help us to disinfect these institutions? What nomination are you most excited about personally?
