December Craziness

There’s so much to share and recently not enough time to digest my experiences and thoughts.

Saturday was our day for reflection on what happened to our nation on December 7, 1941, Pearl Harbor Day. Since our landslide Election in November, that Red Tide has been happening. To this day four nearly 5 years ago My Grandma Rosie died, her mind was good though and she would comment a lot on the Obama Administration. Especially Obama himself, as someone who hated America. I remember wondering what fueled those comments at times, she had better information than we did it seemed.

Now this weekend it feels like we have momentum for once. There is a very good chance Trump’s nomination picks will be granted. So many Veterans groups are extremely excited at the special pick of Pete Hegseth’s nomination to the Department of Defense. Earlier this year at Easter I watched his special on Fox Nation about the true story of Easter while going to Israel with his own Pastor. This series was amazing to watch he is a God-fearing man on top of his comprehensive knowledge of battle strategy, the geography and of the men of the rank and file. This is more than a trifecta; he was made for this position.

This is just one of the many thoughts in my mind from the past couple of weeks. Then today happened. Marine Daniel Penny was found not guilty. I, along with a lot of constitutional lawyers, and analysts believed they would charge him with the lesser charge because that was how it was designed to work thanks to DA Alvin Briggs meddling. Thank God, this man will not go to prison for something he didn’t do. Everyone on that Subway said he was a hero, no matter their gender or ethnicity; that should have spoken volumes when this first happened.

God is still watching over this Country and there are still God-fearing men and women praying for this Country. Otherwise that not guilty verdict would not have come as it did this was a God-kiss for all of us. We all need to specifically pray for the Neeley family to grieve and let them get their steam out while hopefully not making things worse with their protests. Still I can’t help but ask where they were when he needed someone to make him accountable for the other things he did before this threatening Subway ride? If they loved him why didn’t they stop his bad behavior before it got to this he had a wrap sheet if they loved him they should have been acting like his family and not strangers. Sometimes tough life is needed. Yet they want to protest the fact that Mr. Penny felt some relief this morning when he heard the verdict. His life has been swept in this hurricane of a clown show because of Bragg. He deserves to enjoy a smile in relief after months of stress and grief of his own and his family’s.

Tomorrow will be an early start for me with therapy, but I won’t have a choir practice like I do tonight. So I will be able to hopefully get more articles finished tomorrow. I haven’t had a busy Christmas schedule like this ever; two Cantata’s. Yet therapy and family stress have also added to my lack of time to get everything done on top of cross-stitch projects for baby showers and so forth. This weekend is the culmination three churches and their Christmas presentations at least I will not be in the final one that will simply be for fun with my parents.
