The last two days have been interesting. Trying to remember the exercises we have done even as recently as during Mom’s back procedures. She was given some specific exercises and we have done lots of them over the years.
Getting back into them and remembering how they were done has taken a little bit more than we thought. Although two days later we are getting into a new routine with the ones we have come up for our two schedules. Monday, Wednesday, Friday, is the first and Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday is of course the second one. Now we get to add bar bells to our schedule unlike our walking. We tried and we didn’t quite get it going.
I have been wanting to get back into the weights for a while. My right hand still doesn’t have quite the movement after two wrist surgeries and I had said I was going to work on that and time and life got the best of that idea. I do also think getting back into my clarinet and playing piano would help in slowly trying to get more movement back. Of course I have until January, then I will really be using my right hand more than my left for a couple of months until therapy comes into play.
Just from two days though, I woke up this morning knowing I had done some really targeted exercises instead of just simply walking again. I think I felt it yesterday, but not like it was earlier today. I feel like I haven’t gotten much done today because of it and I have a long checklist. Yet I was able to catch a few minutes of the Town Hall with Harris Faulkner Hosting Trump in Georgia.
All I have seen was a good 10 to 15 minute chunk of the presentation. It looked really good though. Then I saw an overview with Harris Faulkner from Sean Hannity last night. Early voting in Georgia started yesterday the day of this Women’s Only Town Hall. They broke the record with voters nearly doubling the previous election numbers on the first day of early voting. Georgia has a message to send and they are doing so in big numbers. Harris is originally from Georgia; it holds a place in her heart. So being able to do this Town Hall this way with only women was special.
These women faced real threats rather from illegal immigrants and remember this is Georgia where Laken Riley was killed in Athens. She was doing what an American Woman should have the right to do, taking a trek in a park alone that should have been safe for her to do. Her death says otherwise now and this is America the ‘Land of the Free’! We have the most rights of any nation and its citizens yet this happened and continues to happen because of a bad policy by one current Administration. Perhaps a second if ‘We The People’ don’t send a loud message to that Administration or the Democrat Candidate that we will no longer stand for those policies being in effect.
This is just one of the many issues for these women. The battle of trans-women versus biological women stood out as well. Child care credits were brought up, by a woman who had been through a lot of bureaucratic red tape forcing her to make decisions of one over another. These women brought the emotions and issues of everyday Americans to the forefront and they were asking Trump for help. Ivanka, however, gets the credit for Trump’s child care credits from his first term. She was behind him making sure it got done.
One last thought. I have been working on some pieces I have ultimately forgotten about over the years. An old Santa and some little Deere Ornaments. Plus we are still in Fall I have the cutest little squirrel pillows one is finished and one I should have finished today or tomorrow. These are the projects I have been having a lot of fun with lately including a Peanut’s with a special patriotic version of their licensed fabric. I am going to have to make myself my own pillow of this design. I originally made it for myself I think, but I have no idea what happened to it unless I gave it as a present to someone else. I do tend to do that a lot thinking I will have time and energy to make another for myself eventually. I don’t think I ever do, but still if it brings someone a smile it will have been absolutely worth the time and effort.
