As I Was Saying…

Saturday was an amazing sight to behold. The day this assassination attempt happened I will never forget my family was celebrating the lives of my cousin and his wife. They had been killed just the Saturday before and we were literally at the funeral dinner at the Dugger American Legion when I got the first messages about the attempt.

A lot has happened in the last 3 months. Not just for my cousin’s family, but for our Country because of this devastating attempt on a Former President’s life. The most consequential president of our lifetime has now survived two attempts on his life. We are living in unchartered times right now in America.

There was something different with this event in Butler though. It was more a Memorial than a ‘Trump Rally’ at times, which I believe was the purpose. Honoring Corey Comperatore was one of the main focus points of the evening. The opera singer, Christopher D. Macchio used his voice in a way that only God can with music to show the outpouring of emotions from the crowd to the president and vice versa. The exact time of 6:11 was stunning after a moment of silence this singer sang Ave Maria. How anyone could have had a dry eye in that audience is beyond me!

Listening to the Emergency responders from the first attempt was poignant. The nurses, doctors who responded in kind at the Rally and at the hospital afterward to do the checkups on the patients their testimony was incredible to hear. Everything about this finishing of what he started from July 13th was an amazing display of strength, honor and confrontation. Confronting the very spot where his life was attempted in order to officially heal was crucial not just to Trump and his family, but for all of us who support and love Trump and want this country to heal from the political rift that got us to that attempt on that Saturday just three months earlier.

When this first began or I should say I turned on the RSBN coverage on the television it was early afternoon. The speakers from RSBN while I was trying to do some sweeping started talking about the parachutes coming down. That was neat, earlier this year for the anniversary of D-Day American Veterans parachuted to commemorate that day as well. We have some truly amazing Veterans in this country that have a fierce American Spirit and they were commemorating Saturday for the MAGA crowd. They loved it and seeing our elite trained troops doing what they do best shows our American strength best!
