Tonight is the debate for the nominees for possible Vice President of both parties. It will be another interesting night on primetime. Too bad we’re stuck with Liberal mediators from a Democrat run platform like all of the others were. Not one of these debates have been friendly for the Republican candidates at all. CNN, however, were courteous in the first one done with Trump and Biden which was a big surprise.

Yesterday I found myself at my favorite Salon getting my hair done along with some others in my family including my Mom. Ms. Gina and I have similar views and thoughts about politics and religion, because we both know you cannot have one without the other. Still being in her Salon… so many conversations have been had between us in this one location.

She even said last time we had a long-winded conversation that we should have a political podcast just between the two of us chattering with what we have heard from the news and what I have read from my alternative media. It’s really exciting to talk and we agreed yesterday we can’t always talk as freely even in Southern Indiana as we do together. Yet there are a lot of people who do agree with us it is a Red State after all, but there are opposing signs in our area of the state.

Being in her Salon though brought back such memories from before Covid. Rumors of something that was about to happen, but it sounded absolutely crazy. Then in less than 3 years what that lady spoke of did come to pass. Those moments seem forever ago and yet just like it happened yesterday. Now look at us. I remember as a teenager and voting for the first time hearing that this election is one of the consequential ones of our lifetimes. Yeah I believe the most consequential is hands down this one of 2024.

As a Christian there is no contest here. The Bible is clear with the 10 Commandments of which the Biden-Harris doesn’t want in classrooms across America even though it is absolutely a foundational principle our Founding Fathers Used in creating our Nation. It also mentions not to kill, yet even at their DNC they joyfully praised the people who used the resources of the Planned Parenthood truck to do what… oh yes kill babies. Love your neighbor, do not envy others and lie; yes I know I am paraphrasing a little bit. If she cared and loved the people she was supposedly hired to serve the border would be reinforced and she would not be lying about what she has and has not done with it.

There is also another little goodie in the Bible, one that farmers have heeded in particular. Although it is meant for all people and jobs to heed the meaning of this story. In order to see a blessing from God you can’t be lazy and do nothing, you still must plant the field in the spring and pray and do what is necessary until harvest time. There are still things to do, weeding, spraying the fields when it can be done and working on the equipment. There is always something including prayer to make ready for a blessing of harvest in one’s life and work. Harris has not been a good steward of her position, but that is also what happens when merit is not considered for the job firstly.

We can nitpick at our leaders and it is necessary and actually an American tradition to do so. I have been watching the musical 1776 since July the 4th one of my favorite historical films of that amazing time period of our country’s birth. They fought over everything and they made compromises when they needed to when it truly mattered. The art of debate has been lost somehow. I wish we could go back in time and listen to John Adams and John Dickinson debate over this idea of a Declaration. Or perhaps the man who was supposed to die before he was able to vote for Independence Caesar Rodney who actually lived and was able to also be included in the Congress debating the Constitution years later after war was won. My goodness what would that have been like in the heat of the afternoon in Pennsylvania. These men lived through signing their own death certificates and got to see the beginning of this incredible new experiment.

Yet what would they think about this debate tonight?

The American Voice has been hampered and silenced too much over the past couple of decades. Remember only 40% of Christians say they vote and even less gun owners say they vote. Why is it we have the most sacred of values in our hearts and minds, but we shy away from sharing these truths we know to be the ultimate truth of most Americans. It is something that African Americans, Hispanics all Americans share it’s also called Freedom.
