On Friday, we knew it would be a busy day. It was our weekend with our girl and her Daddy’s birthday was on Saturday. Sometimes it’s difficult to know what she will want to do when we pick her up after the long school day. Although we, Mom and I decided we needed a change of view for the evening.
After a rough morning with my foot I wasn’t sure if this was a good idea, but I thought it would be good for us. We also had Uncle Tony with us, of course. Until we picked her up though we played it down a bit and casually threw the idea out there to see where it landed with her. Once we got her her number one need was her phone. So we had to get that as well and then she seemed good with our trip down south.
We did give her two options for supper though Taco Bell or Wendy’s. She was all in for Taco Bell because of their potatoes with cheese and sour cream. Mom didn’t really help though, she kept asking over and over are we sure that’s where we want to eat? So Somehow between home and Vincennes after the fifth time Mom asked she finally switched to Wendy’s. I couldn’t tell if it was because Mom didn’t want Taco Bell, which she kept saying she didn’t care where we are and yet she kept asking everyone so I don’t know. Wendy’s won eventually as well as their Frosty’s.
The night actually was fun and just what we all needed. We did some looking and shopping at both JoAnn’s and Hobby Lobby my main shops recently. Thanks to my JoAnn coupon Selena got a diamond painting for 50% off. We did find some little goodies at both places. It made for a good time together.
The next day she spent with Daddy on his birthday! Then we tried to take him out for his birthday dinner and plans went a bit sideways. Jared’s favorite place for special times is China Wok, but this was Sullivan’s Corn Festival. We didn’t know the time for the parade or that the Chinese restaurant was the focal point for the parade. It was fairly certain to us we weren’t eating Chinese there at that point. Yet when we called them to change the place Selena didn’t believe us. Her phone said China Wok was open so we want to eat there. They had to see it for themselves, talk about father and daughter stubbornness.
After all of that he gave up and said okay to Hardee’s. We hadn’t been there for a while and not all of us like that in a long time. Mom also had a cake and some ice cream waiting of us afterwards. Plus the birthday boy did have some presents as well. Maybe it was all of this going back and forth, but that evening I felt like I was sick. I went to bed early hoping that would help me wake up feeling good and ready to go for the day.
That did not happen though. I may have had a bug to start with Saturday night, but I still don’t know why or where it may have come from. Sunday was just the culmination of my body working through stress and normal body processes. The life of being a biological woman that others cannot truly understand otherwise. I have also had many ideas and projects I am currently piecing together and yesterday was able to acquire some fabric that fits perfectly with an idea I have had for a very long time. I am still pinching myself that I was able to get the last of this fabric and that it’s a good amount to work with and will couple wonderfully with my Peanut’s cross-stitch key. I just learned a week ago this fabric was going to be either thrown away or moved to another store and by the grace of God I was able to get it before either happened.
