The last few days have been immersive for me; I have been marinating over my thoughts. The 1st Amendment ensures the right of Free Speech. However, we know that there is a battle going on right now over that matter. Even the CEO of Telegram was recently arrested in France, because he will not give up his clients privacy. This also includes me and my boyfriends as well since we met on this site. This is just a taste of my thoughts this weekend though.
Thursday was the highly anticipated interview with Kamala Harris and CNN. I didn’t know exactly how I was going to frame my article, but I thought it would be in that direction. It took a while especially when I got into personal details. Tears flowed a bit and it got hard to type through them. Once I posted this that was it and Mom and I had an early night in order to get up early the next morning. So that was it for the day I didn’t realize it would also be it for the week.
It was sitting at the table up at my Grandparent’s house, which is now Uncle Tony’s. After a long morning it was my first time getting on to Facebook. Mom and I were just getting to eat while our family got together for a family farm meeting. It was why we couldn’t stop and eat at Terre Haute after our class was over. There was some food waiting on us at the house. While I was slowly eating I began to look at my phone. A chill went down my spine when I saw my notifications.
That last article was deemed “misleading” and was taken down. I have had posts removed before, but never an article I had written. This kind of shook me a bit. I had looked at my website and didn’t see a lot of traffic from this article. So I decided not to write until tonight. A lot of thoughts have gone through my mind these last few days.
I can’t stay away from the news I had to see some follow up on the articles I saw from my Telegram feed. When I saw that Democrats were trying to politicize the time Trump and the Gold Star families shared together in Section 60 it made my blood boil again. As I was coming to one conclusion that writing articles might be coming to an end seeing this article may have single-handedly changed my mind again.
Then I watched some other stuff on the television. Like Tom Cotton talking to Kristin Welker, and then I listened to the Air Force Band singing “Hallelujah”. It had me nearly in tears from all of these different videos. Then I saw a video of a Toby Keith Tribute from Nashville. Some of his songs are iconic American traditions through those poignant American Holidays; Memorial Day, 4th of July and Veterans Day. All things that hit me in the heart strings really hard.
Did you read that article? Is this how we want to live in our Country when our opinions are called misleading?
Never apologize for being Patriotic!
Trace Adkins reminded the crowd these were always Toby’s last words before leaving the stage.
