
Today thankfully, was the last day of a nearly month long battle with my bank. It’s not the first time I have had to deal with frustration and a lack of information from my bank in the last few months. I was not shown the courtesy they promised to show me even during the last phone call from last week.
My questions have gone unanswered, but all of a sudden they terminated the account I was trying to close last week last night. They never called me with any information. It still irritates me that they didn’t think to call me after I left my phone number with them last week for this specific information. Yet they acted like they had to close it for a reason, but they didn’t share that info with me after saying they absolutely would last week.
All of this has been frustrating, but the one thing I worried about was getting back my balance. That thought was beginning to give me another ulcer. Not to mention the fact that something was going on with my account and they were not being transparent with me about what they were supposedly investigating. None of this makes any sense to me even now. However, this evening after weeks of them stonewalling me I have my balance thank goodness for my new account.
There are a lot of scary things that can happen online, and this was my worst fear happening. The bank was making decisions without my knowledge and not asking me questions and then never told me what became of this investigation that literally took 3 weeks for them apparently.
Sorry, I am ranting a little bit due to a lot of this just happening this afternoon. I could have cried once I saw my balance coming from UPS late this afternoon. They had frozen my account for nearly 4 weeks without any real word as to why. This whole thing still blows my mind only a few hours of breathing a sigh of relief.
