Honestly… it was excruciatingly hard to get up this morning. This weekend has been busy to say the least. I worked late Friday night on the birthday project, then Saturday was a 4 plus hour drive to Indy and back. Of course it was worth every minute. This week I will have some Indy articles from the fair and yesterday. I guess I could call it Indy week.
Waking up was still very necessary since I still had to get up and make lasagna. Church though was my time to refocus; it was special. Dwight wasn’t feeling well so my cousin Abram stepped in for him. On top of that we had two rows of family and visitors this morning. Reverend Kenny’s family came which was special for him to have 3 of his daughters around him and their families. The choir was just as amazing, 3 alto’s and 3 sopranos. When Dana handed me my book I noticed it had Grandma’s name on it with my name underneath. There is something really special about being able to use Grandma’s choir books and even singing alto as I have been when I need to.
My emotions were brought up to the surface with Abram’s message. Then it kind of hit me a bit. Ian is my first cousin, but Abram is a second cousin to me yet this weekend seeing them so happy where they are one as a father and the other speaking from the pulpit. It’s amazing to see them come into their own over the years. Then Abram mentioned in his message the term “light of the world.” I printed a copy before heading to the church of a song I wanted to go over with Brenda called “Light Of The World.” God is amazing about how He works in the details of our lives.
This afternoon was our Bishop Reunion. Talk about a busy morning, my goodness. To make it even better we had a banner day with the turnout and the weather was perfect. I have counted no less than 65 showed up today more than the last few reunions. It was good to see everyone. My battery was nearly out though. By 2 pm the yawning had begun. We got home somewhere around 3 pm I thought I would take a nap and still maybe go to church. I woke up at 6 pm. The church service was already starting and I was still in bed.
My medicine was also forgotten. I always fix my pills for the next week before I go to the evening church service. Last week Selena decided she wanted to help me put it together. I didn’t have her around to do it for me this week.
