Jewells of Thought

Last Thursday I had several ideas plucked from the day’s headlines in my mind. However, technology or rather God, had other thoughts on my priorities for the day. It ended up being quite a day though.

Since I wasn’t able to use my laptop, phone or smart TV the way I wanted to I had to make due without their full use. In doing so we decided to take off and look for this amazing organizer or cabinet that I needed for my hobbies. The one location we really wanted to look at was our dear friend’s shop “Somewhere in Thyme.” A hutch would have been nice to have but wouldn’t have been able to fit in my room with what’s already in my room. I do like some of the hutches and cabinets they had, but something especially stood out to me that afternoon.

So I guess the Cherry Cola in my hair that Gina put in Tuesday massaged into my brain. I was really liking how well this red and distressed looked on this dry sink and cabinet combo. So I think Gina may have subtly worked her fingers through my hair sending subliminal messages to my nerves and brain from my color change only two nights before. I do love her though and those ladies do have a good eye with their pieces in the store.

Now that I have a place for it in my room, I just need to start filling it up. I haven’t really started with that yet. There are a lot of things that can easily fill it up to the brim though. So I am taking my time and I still have more to take out of the living room before I start making big decisions. I do love the dry sink area and it would be perfect for my leaving undone cards when necessary. It just has a very cozy and good feel to the cabinet.

Then one thing happened after another… there’s a lot to catch you all up from the past 4 days. Including the State Fair and some little tangents, Play Time, and a potential new addition to the family. As well as the fun little bits to getting this new dry sink. Yes I do like saying the phrase, ‘dry sink, there’s something so fun about that concept.

Did you know there was such a thing as a dry sink? I sure didn’t until last Thursday!
