Too Soon

Looking for very specific items this evening at Hobby Lobby we ended up leaving with emotion threatening our tear ducts. The layers of life coupled with God’s timing at its best. The items were for the same project, but different phases of the projects I have been working on.

Anyhow it took a little while to find them both. It took longer though just to find the lazy Susan bearing in the right area then we headed to the fabric for the second item. I am working on a little cousin’s birthday present and he just had his first tractor ride with his Grandpa and Dad. It was really cute to watch.

Actually I was surprised to find they had two official John Deere fabrics. Cool right! So I had to make a hard decision between the two fabrics. After some back and forth after Mom thought the other one was the one I should pick; I picked the other one. Then I asked the lady who cut up the fabric about her hand she was wearing a lightweight Thergonomic hand aid. So I asked if it helped her. Turns out she has had as much trouble as I have had with carpal tunnel and so forth. My goodness we talked for nearly 10 minutes then she finally said yes the hand aid did help. Right now I have my previous sleeves that help give some compression and give some sensation of helping with the pain.

On our way to the register I noticed a lady with possibly her granddaughter. It took me a while to see what was on the front of her shirt. Honestly, I thought it said Black Lives Matter, she wasn’t Black but then I realized I have recently thought about a similar shirt the same way. When I got a clearer view it actually said Bikers Lives Matter. Instantly I knew this was a new shirt and I knew exactly where it came from.

Apart of me wanted to ask the lady if she knew my cousins well or if she simply donated to the cause? When I saw the back of her shirt it took me back to the funeral dinner where some of my cousins were already wearing them after the funeral. When I told Mom she had the same reaction I did. We wanted to talk to the lady, but she had disappeared into the store. Seeing the shirt just brought Kenny and Devona to our minds instantly. Once again we got to see how they were loved by so many other people and that awareness was getting out there about how essential safety on the road is and to not text while driving.

Seeing that before we left the store put us in a somber and solemn mood while driving home. Sometimes we never know what God will reveal in His time. Apparently this was a moment for us to take and remember the effects of family.
