Trump, Women and DEI

Since the assassination Attempt a couple of Saturday’s ago a lot has transpired. Things we could never have foreseen actually came about. Including an instance from yesterday, I don’t usually say this phrase, but where literally, hell did freeze over. How did this all happen it goes back to July 13th.

The Secret Service Director Kim Cheatle said, “the buck stops here.” Her words and actions did not match though at all from the day of the assassination to yesterday. She not only stonewalled the Trump Campaign Team for months on having adequate protection when it was requested and needed, she blatantly refused to answer to Congress who speaks for us. They were trying to get answers for us.

There is another interesting quality about this figurehead of the Secret Service though I have just learned. Not only did she come straight from the leadership of PepsiCo, it was because of a relationship with Jill Biden. That’s a sweetheart of a relationship or is it called quid pro quo. Under her leadership even RFK Jr. wasn’t given Secret Service Protection even with his unique family history. Not until after the assassination attempt when Trump talked to Biden and made it happen within a 24 hour period. For a man who wants to be a dictator Trump didn’t have to do that but he knew how important it was within just hours of his own attempted murder. Ironically Jill had 9 Secret Service agents compared to the 3 that were sent to Trump that fateful day. Why do you think that was?

During the Republican National Convention Trump’s uncanny ability to find people with hidden talents was magnificently displayed for 4 wonderful days. I especially loved Wednesday when he heard his oldest granddaughter speak. On Thursday though a handful of women in a row gave amazing testimonies of how Trump came into their lives one way or another and their lives gained such fulfillment by the talents he saw in them that they had not maybe noticed in themselves.

For over a year one of Trump’s lawyers, Alina Habba, has become a fixture on Fox News reporting on the legal lawfare against him. She has been so confident and had a way about herself I always wondered what her story was. Listening to her talk about some of her life. Being an Arab American married to a Jewish American and having 3 beautiful children together she is quite remarkable and very photogenic and good on a life feed. She said Trump was one of the best bosses and friends to have. This woman knows her business and does very well in it because of the amazing workplace she has had working for Trump.

Compare that to Director Cheatle who did not know what she was doing. First of all PepsiCo is not at all the same thing as being a Secret Service Professional. How on earth did that appointment not bat an eye at all. Of course, Jill made sure it went through for her dear friend. Never mind she had never served in the military or in any Law Enforcement jobs ever. This was one of the worst job matches ever. Yet there is our DEI working for us again. One good thing to come out of this is that this position could become one that the Senate needs to confirm in the future. She should have been hashed out over instead of what happened.

Now the question is who will be her successor? She has finally, after a long couple of weeks resigned, she should have been fired by the neglect of knowing what the job really entailed. Yesterday though was amazing who would have thought this bipartisan conversation could be had? I have only seen this type of bipartisanship questioning from the Nursing Home Covid Scandal of Governor Cuomo a year ago. Democrats were as inflamed as the Republicans about Cheatles empty answers and simply not answering. Alexandria Ocasia-Cortez and Marjorie Taylor Greene were on the same side. James Comer and Jamie Raskin were also on the same side of this issue. Jared Moskovitz and Jim Jordan, yes they were all fed up with Cheatle’s stonewalling. It was quite a sight to see these videos of all them agreeing that she should step down if not be fired and all wanting to get some actual answers.

It was a monumental day for Capital Hill. Some were even comparing it to the time earlier this year when the presidents of the Ivy League were testifying saying she was even worse. They also believed she would be forced out of her position one way or another. At least she did it of her own volition and within a shorter time from her horribly day of testimony.

It was even disheartening when Representative Burchett made a long comment. He has a daughter and he and his wife have tried to instill in her to work hard. It was a powerful statement that he didn’t want his daughter to follow Director Cheatle’s footsteps. Essentially being the DEI hire and not being competent as he knew his daughter could and will be due to his and his wife’s loving influence over her life.
