Reminders of Proverbs

Earlier this year I wanted to do a Wednesday night look at Proverbs. The time I spent reviewing the book was exhilarating and necessary. It’s why we are taught in our churches to continually be reading in our Bibles little passages at a time. It’s easier to manage and may help to engage in your reading better.

Personally I have noticed how God works in each reading of His word. No matter how many times you read a scripture verse God can bring a word out to you in a different light. The new perspective is enlightening and He literally reveals Himself in His word.

Proverbs is a special book to read. This book is why I have never wanted to be the foolish man or the strange woman talked about in these chapters. There is a difference in the fruit of a family that goes to church versus one that doesn’t. The fruit of their labor is a dichotomy of day and night sadly. That is why it is so crucial to beware of the person to become your other half. Their actions speak volumes observe them and pray constantly and listen for God’s voice in that decision. It really is a big decision to make don’t forget about God’ when making that decision.

Decisions show the character of a person. How they deal with situations well or badly. Their character will tell you how they will be in the future with decisions towards you and your family as well as theirs. Making the best out of situations is a gift that not everyone has, but if the big decisions are made well it makes these easier to make.

Recently Louisiana made it easier for schools to have the 10 Commandments to be displayed in them statewide. A wonderful decision and it was made based on the fact that our American Government was centered on the Biblical concepts at our Founding. It’s history basically. Texas is going to follow suit as soon as possible and I hope and pray many more. We need these principals back inside schools, but we also need them to be taught not just on the wall. This is an amazing first step. It is truly wonderful though how this one step can potentially move the needle, even slowly as pond water, in the right direction. Anything done to bring God back into schools is a win.

The Ten Commandments was the Law given to Moses by God. Yet that law has been used ever since as a code of civil conduct thus far. Talk about it being a historic piece of World History not just American History. Maintaining this code of conduct our nation was founded on is critical the Liberals want it gone and forgotten and they did that very well. It’s time to be loud and proud about a piece of American History being put in it’s proper place in schools. Now we need to enforce the fact that the kids need to have the essential education to read these posters on the wall for themselves.

What would these Presidents think about this idea?
