A Slow Down Day

Busy days are good to have, but I really needed this morning. Time to be alone and time to work at my comfortable speed. The Lord has given me so much to do I sometimes forget to rest. I love keeping busy with my hands one way or another it is a blessing to do so.

Between the last couple of weeks I feel so much closer to Grandma Rosie even as she has been gone for 4 years now. It also brings up regrets that I didn’t try to keep some of Grandma Betty’s stuff before it was gone. Creating my own pillows came out of necessity though I used up my last already made pillow kit earlier this year and thought why can’t I make my own.

It was that thought that brought me to my knees saying why not! Here I am having made 4 pillows for fun and to learn from each one. Plus I literally have a team of seamstresses to ask questions of when I need to at crucial times. It’s awesome to have such a team as excited to see somewhat of a youngster getting into this range of sewing that I had blocked out for a long time.

Plus I got to do some of it while listening to music… soulful music that speaks to the heart. One of my passions that made it such a pleasant late morning and early afternoon.
