Jewells of Thought

My parents and I didn’t get much time with Selena on Saturday the only time we got with her for the Holiday Weekend. All we had to look forward to was that this was our weekend coming up. The Timing really comes together so it seems God’s Timing is always best you know.

After not getting enough time with our girl we got a surprise this morning. It was actually nearly noon when the phone call came though. My brother had slept through the time to pick up his daughter. So she called Papaw and literally right as we were ready to pray over our lunch Dad’s phone was ringing Sabrina’s name. Selena couldn’t get a hold of Daddy and was calling Papaw to wake him up.

All of a sudden the thoughts we already had for what was to happen tomorrow just got better for us. Talk about a more wonderful present for our birthday lady, Mom just got one of the best Birthday presents for the weekend. Plus tonight we had already made plans to visit with Aunt Helen, well that made Selena’s day when I just told her where we were headed this evening. There are a lot of happy campers around here today.

We don’t get enough time with our little girl as it is with some outside influences that just flat out are not helping. Treading lightly is an overstatement and that shouldn’t have to be done. Family time this weekend is exactly what the doctor ordered for all of us and it sounds like that’s what we are going to get.

I was a little jealous at a Girls Trip happening in southern Indiana for a dear friend’s birthday. Now it feels like we have our own little Family Time of Togetherness that we need so it is really sweet to see this happening right now. God is so gracious and merciful I hope my niece understands how much of a blessing she is to us and how truly sweet this is to have this wonderful time right now.

God is really able to orchestrate some amazing reunions and family blessings that are truly needed. The Lord provides and gives comfort to His people. Sometimes we need to be reminded of that at different times in our lives.
