Relaxing

Sometimes I have to force myself to remember what the word relaxation means. First of all giving the issues to God after sharing them with him and leaving them in His hands. The last couple of days have been busy, hot and me working on several projects as possible. Something was about to give one way or another.

The stress of taking those issues upon myself instead of leaning on God’s sturdy shoulders was too arduous. Plus I had to face my stressors head on. With God’s help doing that has changed my attitude today on top of my appointment today and what I found out. I am still dealing with allergies and it feels like I have 3 times the allergy problems I normally have at this time of the year. I will get into this more with another article.

One of the little blessings is that I was able to cut out some paper goods for some special cards. It is Graduation Day for two young ladies and one young man who all have ties to me and my family. This young man is one of my cousins and he will be taking the stage without one of his Grandma’s routing him on, my Aunt Carol. So last night I was able to make these three cards for our Graduates.

Tonight I was also able to work on Selena’s name for her pillow. Unfortunately it has been well over a day since I was able to even touch it. So I made certain there would be definite progress tonight. I get goosebumps when I see the stitches working together to make the most intriguing image. The back-stitch just elevates the cross-stitches and quarter stitches to another level entirely. It’s an awesome thing to see them together. Plus Selena herself, picked this letter S for her piece. I couldn’t convince her to go with the strawberries instead it had to be the sun. The finished name may be seen soon though.
