Advantages of Kitchen Fiasco

Since we had to move things out of the kitchen we found a few things in the process. Thank goodness for the little disasters that allow us to see what we forgot we had. Unfortunately for me that also meant reaching for them in nearly 2 inches of dust initiating my allergies.

These little dishes that made my day yesterday were the hardest items to reach because they were so high up in the cabinets. Even Dad had some trouble getting to the last ones. It was worth it though when Mom mentioned using them for our dessert for dinner Sunday.

I know it’s a simple pleasure, but it was nice. We have given them a new home much easier for us to reach. Today we also found ourselves finally using our pasta canisters. We have had these for years but never used them for that specific reason. It’s nice being able to do some of the things to make the kitchen a little more accessible.

Okay so in the hurry of just making the pudding I forgot to actually look at the labels. The Butterscotch Pudding was Instant, but the second one was not. Instead it was cook and serve. I had one of each and didn’t realize it until they were already mixed, I did try to boil it but it was still more watery than pudding. However, it was cold and we had the cute bowls I wasn’t going to let that dampen how fun it was to use these cute ice cream dishes and have fun doing so with whipped cream on top.
