What is your career plan? Writing Prompt

Daily writing prompt
What is your career plan?

I am actually amazed it didn’t say I already answered this prompt. Gosh my career plan! Anytime I make a plan I can loudly hear God laugh at me cause they are altered by his many various forces. Whatever plan I may have had with the exception of Walmart fell through.

Being a cashier was my default position before, during and after college. Even writing, something I thought God was insistent on hasn’t tamped out for me as I thought it would. Although I would still like to finish the book. There is at least one chapter that I can’t write without two others and their story to conclude the story. Just as I couldn’t tell my story of Grandpa Leo without telling about Grandpa Freddy I can’t finish without also throwing in an amazing story of trust and adoption from one couple to another something my family had not truly understood or comprehended until a handful of years ago.

I believe this testament to my Grandparents should be incorporated as well as one about my cousin’s death which also goes back to how we were raised in church. God still hasn’t allowed me to put this plan into motion yet, but if it is in His will I will be able to speak to both parties soon I pray.

However, my career, what is my career… more than anything I have been the adaptable one making a way for others and their careers or jobs to flourish or at least to get the paycheck they deserve. Family has always come first Dialysis was the first time when I couldn’t entirely put family first and I think missing family events had taken its toll too.

So now I don’t have a distinct plan, but I am working on two fronts right now. I guess I will see how that works if I can maintain a balance.
