Once we were able to get our hotel power back on as well as the city’s power it was time to get back to vacation mode. Whether taking some time to clean up in the bathroom with a nice bath or Dad listening to his phone we waited around in the hotel until 10 am. It wasn’t too far from 10:30 because we were all hangry at that point. We had decided on pizza for dinner and the first place we parked was next to Brozzini’s Pizzeria. So this was our dinner destination.
My parents kind of remember having been there a long time ago, but James and I didn’t. Before we followed the delicious smell we were on the opposite side of the highway. We were looking on the other side where we left off from the other day. This time I wore tennis shoes even though my feet actually felt wonderful the bath may have also helped earlier.
We followed that smell and I found the location I had missed the day before. It was a bookstore. I made a mental check we can’t go back to the hotel without looking in that store. Oh my goodness we didn’t have a true breakfast if you remember. I actually had to eat licorice to take my pills, I do not condone that as a breakfast food.
Stepping into the delicious aroma of the pizzeria we all stood there taking it all in. At the top of the wall by the area where you ordered you food it said order here until 4 pm then something about serving at the table. On the left side of that counter was the pizza behind the glass and the names of the different slices you could order. I was the one that said this one looks good because it’s got pepperoni and sausage it had more than just those meats it was the meat lover’s essentially.
Sitting down I remember seeing others eating these enormous slices of pizza with both their forks and knives. Yet as I recounted this to my boyfriend I knew I would hear something very different. I just couldn’t he wouldn’t tease with this little tidbit I gave him.

When I sent Bryan my slice of Park Avenue, my goodness it still looks like 3 pieces in one to me, I got a fun text back.
“Eating pizza with forks and knives that’s boring, it takes the whole experience of using your bare hands while at it.”
I knew he would say something like this I was ready for his teasing. If I had been with him maybe I would have eaten like that for fun. Mom couldn’t finish her slice so I ended up eating the meats off of hers. I don’t usually like tearing up the pizza, but I didn’t like it going to waste. It was filling and very good pizza plus the Pepsi was fresh it helped my stomach from licorice breakfast I had to endure.
…Supper time though would be more of a picnic…
