How are you doing in this climate right now? Are you holding up amid these disastrous campus uprisings?

The information is so awful to watch. I mentioned last week that my state, one of the reddest states in the Union that does have a ban on abortion has had protests in favor of Hamas. From the Governor’s Mansion to the two biggest universities in the state Purdue and IU. My family who have graduated at both campuses are mortified at these intrusions I am most certain. Although Purdue’s was not as degrading as the tent situation at Dunn Meadow.
Administrations of these campuses have done very little to incite law and order especially in the blue states and the Ivy League colleges. Recently in Bloomington after it happened last Wednesday night the students just realized the rules on tents were changed. The administration outsmarted them, good for them and made certain tents and signs that would be against the new policy on campus. Now if only the Ivy League had learned how to outsmart the protesters in the first place less of this chaos would be happening.
Yesterday was just about it for me though. The statement came from the White House they are seriously considering bringing the Gazans here to our country. The surrounding Arab nations don’t want them because they are too tied to Hamas, but yet Biden says come on over to the states. I literally got chills when I heard this horrific disaster could be coming to our shores. If this is the case ladies and gentlemen these protests were just the dress rehearsal for what’s to come to our country.
Even the son of the original leader of Hamas, who is now on the right side of history, says Palestinians should be seen as the same as Hamas. There should be no distinction, after all they elected Hamas to rule over Gaza for well over a decade and look how that went. A protester not a student mind you wanted aid brought in to Colombia to the protesters therefore making it another, little Gaza.
My boyfriend lives in Los Angeles currently for work, when I learned about refugees possibly coming here my thoughts went to the fact we are still dealing with distance and a situation that is not finished as of yet. He is in the same large city as UCLA is not to mention Karen Bass who has had her home broken and entered into not once but twice in the last year or so. I worry more about him in California than I do about myself here. I kind of had a meltdown last night. He can sense when I am frustrated and not myself. I had to cop to the emotional roller-coaster I have been feeling the last two weeks of worrying about our future then add on the American hating refugees as of yesterday. There may be some other matters to throw in with all of this but it’s a lot to think and wonder about. Although I know God is still in control and to trust His timing and His will.
I think we all can agree the curriculum at our universities is trash if the staff has been teaching how to be activists and are supporting the protests. Timing is really amazing though, I am grateful I went to a Bible-believing Baptist University when I did and where I did. That was only just over a decade ago since I graduated college. So much has changed for the American student in the years since the atmosphere on non-christian campuses have changed dramatically.
