My Sweet Mama

Today was another appointment for Mom to see the Sugar Doctor. Or rather we should say the Nurse Practitioners. One of them was new and just getting into the routine of this clinic. I generally am the one to go with her to these appointments nowadays.

The medicine she was on is on back order and the only other acceptable alternative is Ozempic. I am starting to believe there is a conspiracy going on here. Mom really liked her injections of Mounjaro she lost weight at a healthy clip and didn’t get sick while taking it. Within the past 6 months it’s hard to find all of a sudden.

On the other hand I have a brother taking Ozempic too and he doesn’t really like it at all. You don’t lose weight you gain it by taking these injections. Yet this is the only alternate supposedly. Mom realized too soon it didn’t sit right with her. Now after today she is off of it thankfully. Already she’s in a better mood having had this conversation with the Nurses.

This evening we were able to make some progress in the kitchen. We found a nice pattern to put in the shelves and got a few cabinets finished with shelving paper. It’s a sweet ending to seeing the Sugar Clinic today. If only it was a simple fix to unpack our totes and clean what needs to be cleaned before the kitchen can be our new improved kitchen.
