Jewells of Thought

Yesterday was quite a day. I got up fairly early so I could get up and take my medicine on time. I didn’t think I would make it to any church at all the way I felt, but I tried to keep my options open if I felt better later on. So I took my meds ate some breakfast which was potato wedges. It was the quickest thing I could warm up in the microwave. Then I took a nice Epson salt bath. I did have to fix Mom’s bangs as soon as I got out, but as soon as I got back into the living room I sat down. I remember a bad coughing fit and my parents heading out to church and that was it. I fell asleep it was sometime after 9 am.

For nearly two hours I was out. I am glad I didn’t put my contacts in I actually never got them on I only wore my glasses yesterday. The rest was good though, apparently I really needed that time to sleep. I haven’t been able to sleep all through the night between at least one sneezing fit and blowing my nose a few times. It’s still not as bad as some of my previous colds though.

Fast forward to past dinnertime and before our usual time to see Grandma and family. First I saw Summer and Tora then I heard Selena’s voice. Later Mom said we had a tornado hit us. It took me and Mom some time to pick up what I had told them to put back up and of course they didn’t listen. Anyhow it was quite a surprise for us. Our time with Selena is this weekend.

My goodness they are characters and my hands still bear their handiwork from yesterday. At least Summer’s anyhow. Tora stamped me thank goodness that was washable, but apparently Summer’s wasn’t as washable.

Those little stinkers stamped me and inked me as you can well see. A heart and a smiley face. How many times I said no I don’t know I flailed my hands and still got inked. After washing my hands with Dawn soap three times it was faded but not gone. Today I can still see the faded purple of the heart and the pink is the most noticeable on my right hand. I think it may be time to throw these markers away!

It was during this tornado that my head began to hurt, which hadn’t happened since Monday or Tuesday. At least there were no fights this time we just didn’t have much space for them to do much playing in. We still have totes everywhere. Unfortunately they have been here too many times and they know where things are so one of the first things they got out was Selena’s diamond painting stuff. Even when I said absolutely NO!

It may also be time to say goodbye to that too. Selena doesn’t even work on those anymore since they have taken over them. It’s really already a project in disarray so we really need to make some changes in the crafting department that they know about.

Oh my though, I needed some time to rest after the wind gust blew away with them. Selena was pretty happy though she got to feed the dog. This was just one play time I was not really ready for and we were all tired, but we gave them some snacks and some of our time since we were their captives for the time being.
