A Low-Key Spring Trip

We didn’t need to leave really early on Thursday morning. Check-in at our hotel, of course, wasn’t until 3 pm. Yet leaving to get there would only take a couple of hours no more than that. However, we also decided to go to Edinburgh to visit and spend some time at the mall.

Knowing all of this we left home no sooner than 9 am. On Wednesday, I had somehow gotten a bug and wasn’t feeling very good and actually was wondering if I should get some Dramamine for our drive on the Bloomington road that is my long time nemesis. I didn’t though. So I was a little unsure how it would go come Thursday.

Thankfully God blessed us with smooth driving and a very settled stomach the whole way to drive past Little Nashville and past Columbus. There were too many restaurants to figure out where we wanted to eat for dinner. So we were on our way out of Columbus in order to turn around. Mom was bent on eating at McAlister’s Deli once we spotted the distinctive building on our left hand side. We were also on the wrong lane to turn in. Yet we finally made it… only to have a problem!

This was Dad’s first time eating at this place and he was a bit skeptical. Like I said though, Mom was pretty determined to eat here… this ended up being our first hiccup of the trip.

I took this photo later on in the day once we officially got to Little Nashville.
