Last Saturday was a Bridal Shower for a friend. To begin this story though I have to back up to two years ago. When I was working at Fresenius about to take my Competency Test to stay on the floor.
It was quite frustrating because this one particular week was the week I gave my Dad and brother that I had off earlier in the year from DaVita before my world turned slightly upside down. It was the week before my big test and I was going to miss our family vacation to Pigeon Forge. I had a job though, so I took it in stride I had to especially if I could pass this test. With two weeks to go before my parents and younger would take off without me a crazy idea formulated…
My checks from the company for gas and various expenses came through and it gave me a substantial sum. Yet it sounded crazy until Mom said take Uncle Tony. We split expenses and I got a three day trip right before my big test after all. It was truly, exactly what I needed, a little break.
Still two years later I can’t believe I pulled that off. It was amazing Uncle Tony and I both had a great time it was totally worth the effort and craziness. However, to get back to the purpose of this story on that second day of our trip to Illinois our only full day in Mount Vernon, we walked into a specific store. It was a high roller type of store and I wasn’t sure I would find anything I could afford. Even with those prices I found a pair of earrings.
While I was looking I lost track of Uncle Tony in the back. The suits in the back had caught his eye. My purchase was $32 something, not enough to warrant the bags they were showing off. I don’t remember if it was just $50 or it started with $100 to 150 it was still all more than what I was willing to pay personally. It wasn’t even something I needed either so it was no skin off my back. Yet Uncle Tony bought one of those suits. So after the lady that rung me up and gentlemen that helped Tony with the suit took notes, she gave me the bag saying well he spent this amount and it qualifies for me since we were together to get this free tote bag.
‘Love is in the Air’ was the name of the really, the piece of art the bag was besides being the bag. I didn’t know how to use the bag though, it was so pretty and frilly, I was afraid I would tear it up with as much stuff as I can stuff into bags. I wasn’t ready to ride it off though as yet.
Fast forward to last Sunday morning and we didn’t have our entire present for the bride and groom finished or for their little girl. Instantly like it was waiting for exactly this moment; I remembered the tote bag given to me. As I have heard about this love connection over the past months this seemed like the perfect gift to fit this bag to this couple.
