A Week of Uncertainty

Life is uncertain. People, jobs and money all come and go throughout our lives. Ecclesiastes talks about this: another book written by Solomon in the Old Testament.

Sometimes I feel adaptable and other times that I can’t even do anything for myself because of that very concept. Anyway it seems like a lifetime ago already that we were talking about the Total Eclipse on Monday afternoon. In the meantime I have been working on a project that is halfway done, but still needs finishing. Then yesterday we heard that OJ Simpson died. His fight with cancer was finally done at the age of 76.

One doesn’t know what will happen day to day. Yet knowing God and having Him as your personal savior is something that can be a surety in your life. The Hand of God has been at work all week long starting with that Eclipse and OJ’s death could not have been determined it was at a specific time that only God knew.

When we ordered our food this evening we couldn’t have known what was to happen. After some back and forth with the possibility of La Fiesta also we decided on Monicals. I have not made it a secret I love pizza. Anyhow we made our decision and entered the establishment. We had already made our minds up we wanted pizza before entering so it made ordering fairly simple.

Although I love my pizza I have learned I cannot eat the hot peppers like I used to. So I had the pepperoncinis on the side. I also had to say no mushrooms. If I said it once I have said it a million times. I don’t like the texture it makes me gag. Before we even got our pizza though our waiter had a question for us. Did we want the second pizza? Apparently he explained to us the cooks got it wrong and thought there was a second pizza.

It was on them so again he asked us if we wanted to take home the second pizza. A free pizza! Yeah we’ll sure take it home was our answer. We were shocked, but knew we could eat it tomorrow. Talk about an uncertainty we had no idea we would be leaving with a whole second pizza for the next day! It’s kind of nice to have a meal taken care of this weekend too! God’s timing is somehow amazing when you think about it.
