Jewells of Thought

In the next week my family will be taking a very short meander eastward of the state. It will be a nice welcome respite. However, once my niece heard we would be gone before she got here her face has stuck in my mind. We will see her before the weekend will be completely over though.

It’s nice to know she will miss us. I am certain we will get several phone calls and facetimes. Honestly, I thought my parents would take a little trip for themselves considering their Anniversary was last week, but I think Dad missed me that one week I had to work. When I mentioned I should stay to watch my uncle he was asking if one of mom’s brothers could keep an eye on him.

Although I would very much like to have a romantic weekend with Bryan, it’s nice to know I’m wanted and my presence is very much garnered. Even Bryan told me to take the time for the trip so I do have his blessing.

I am hoping and praying this gives us all a bit of a breather. We need a new perspective and we haven’t been in this vicinity for a long time. The fresh air and the mountain area hopefully will be good. I do also hope I won’t get carsick again.
