RIght now our light is getting dimmer and it’s also getting cooler. It’s just about time for our Totality. Vincennes is where the totality of the 4 minutes will be seen which is 45 minutes south of where we are here.
I have not noticed the traffic this weekend, but today will be the day it will be felt. I even saw those with shirts on yesterday at church talking about the Eclipse. CBS is reporting from Vincennes at my favorite 4th of July location the George Rogers Clark Museum and the bridge a great place to watch the sky.
It’s really seeming to be dark now like it’s evening at 3:02 there is only a sliver left and it’s gone. Wow it looks ominous here at home, not completely like evening as the screen shows down in Vincennes. There are red flares within the corona down there it looks really intriguing and different from the images I have seen from earlier.

This makes it look brighter than it actually was. I took this right before the eclipse was nearly done it shows how far away we were it didn’t get as dark, but it was ominous looking around here. Oddly I thought I heard someone say the birds don’t chirp, but when I went outside I heard one specific bird chirp doing my couple of seconds outside.
This was a very surreal experience. Now we are just in the aftermath. We don’t have to worry about traffic and we saw it and felt the effects right here at home. About another 45 minutes to our east William Shatner also observed the Eclipse from Bloomington, Indiana according to CBS. He is at ISU on the television screen right now being interviewed. I don’t usually watch CBS like this if I can help it, but this is local history, right!
