Music, music, music. I couldn’t think of anything else I wanted more. Singing and playing piano was what my parents did. Dad was the Music Leader at Church and Mom played the piano. I wanted to be just like both of them. God gave me the skill and talent to do so. It was my ministry as much as it was my parents ministry serving with our musical talents and our love for God.

Then I also followed my Mom and an older cousin in school. Then in junior high I played the clarinet when I joined the school band. Adding another instrument that both these ladies had played and my cousin had won 1st’s doing solos in contests. It was an honor for me to follow in their footsteps.
Music has given me life-long memories and sentiments that bring me smiles and warm my heart. God brought me into this world with a purpose and I used it as fully as I could even singing as a 5 year old in Choir at Church since my parents already had to be there it was something that was normally for me. A choir loft is a home away from home for me. The idea that the choir stands up there behind the preacher was sacred. Sometimes the preacher needs his choir to stand by him perhaps a heavenly nudge when necessary.
