Movie Night

Minus the popcorn tonight was movie night. Mom and I watched Overboard it’s an old classic that we watched on the Alsman side, I remember specifically one New Years Eve. Those were special nights when the 8 of us spent the night with Grandma and Grandpa Alsman. Back when we all had fun on the couch that turned into a bed… a lifetime ago.

It brings back some fond memories. Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn make this movie. Roddy McDowall, Katharine Helmond and Edward Herrman are quite amazingly supportive characters though.

Taking risks. Of course some vengeance is in there as well. It’s not even a Hallmark Movie and it ends up the right way. There is some crudeness, but what show doesn’t have that in it anymore and the ones that don’t are too politically correct.

I was two years old in 1987 when this show debuted. Yet my uncles found this and it became one of our fondest movies to watch. The storyline is still relevant today as it was then. People and perspectives can change simply by spending time together.
