Thunderstorm Season

The stress of thunderstorms. Already we have lost power twice today, fortunately it has been right back on both times. We have only had our first round of the system so far. It is right now starting to pick up wind.

This could potentially be a long night. We will have to take it as it comes it’s that Indiana weather that can change on a dime. I was in the middle of making grilled ham and cheese sandwiches earlier when the first outage happened. I was toasting the bread and thought oh no the food’s not done yet. Then I was relieved to hear it sputter back on so I could finish the grilled cheese.

So if this is the last post you see from me tonight it is most likely the storm hitting us. Last year we went for a day and a half without power and that seemed long, but it was even longer for others. It didn’t come back on until Sunday or Monday we were actually really blessed to get ours back on when it did.

We had not experienced that long of an outage ever I don’t think. I am not anticipating that with this system but I am like being prepared. Storms are a wild card for certain when it comes to service providers and or accidents dealing with electricity.

No matter how prepared one can be these things and how deadly or volatile can’t always be managed. Even with all the tools we have with weather alerts. I just hope everyone stays safe.
