Those of us who live in flyover territory with our specialty, being Farm Families; the times are really showing. The farm best of the Midwest has always held staunchly to conservative values God, Family and Country. There are families that are teaching their kids right it’s just that the public educational system is so unreasonable and lack in the common sense that God gave them.

Last year there was a young man who stood up for his constitutional rights in his school and continued to wear his backpack with the Gadsden Flag. He and his mother won that fight in the court of public opinion from the start. I remember it was a few days of being in the Gateway Pundit it was an extraordinary young patriotic man from Colorado. There may be more Ranches than farm land there I’m not quite certain about that.
However, this week the issue is about another teenager in my state here in Indiana. From the video clip I saw of him talking, the school wanted him to take his American flag off of his truck. He may be parking his truck on school property, but the flag is in the truck. How can other students who have other offensive stickers or flags in or on their cars or trucks not also be spoken to by the principal like this teenager was? By the way when did it become offensive for an American school to be offended by the American flag?
Saying the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag was always something I counted as beautiful. It was never offensive and I never remember having seen any troubles with my classmates over saying it every morning while in Elementary School. It was a source of pride. During this conversation with his principal, he did his homework and was more concise than the man in charge was supposed to be so it sounds like. He knew his rights and was able to set his principal straight and make him change his mind.

Isn’t it wonderful to hear about these young people who are being taught right about their history and their rights as citizens? Honestly I had never even heard of St. Leon, Indiana before in my life. I now know it’s close to the Ohio border. I could have been through there and not known it’s on the other side of Brown County. Lately I have been learning some names of towns I have never heard before. The cliche is true, I learn something new every day.
We need to pray for these younger generations. This is the resistance they are meeting with that I never expected to see when I was in school, yes, 20 years ago. Yet here it is in full force and they are not hiding their disgust at American history and patriotism. It is a reason to fight against this revisionist history that is being pushed down students throats that much more.
America is exceptional. America has been blessed. None of us would be here without the mercy of God’s grace and blessing on this nation that has been in force for nearly 250 years. Our Founders were compassionate and passionate about liberty and freedom for all. Remember it only took 100 years for a President to create the Emancipation Proclamation.
If we as a society was that extremely corrosive and horrible why did we accomplish it in less than a hundred years of our nation’s existence? There were 1.5 million casualties in the Civil War. More men died in the Civil War than any other War? Why is that? It all goes back to priorities: God, Family and Country. America wanted to free slaves and be a united Country for all Americans.
There will always be some bad in with the good history we can’t erase the truth just because it hurts. Christ’s death hurt on the cross but He took our sins on Himself for our salvation. Christ is no longer hurt or dead and when we accept history for what it is we can arise to the challenges God has for each of us and collectively. Divisions impede us, unity in American exceptionalism is what should unite us as a country.
