I must admit writing the 1,000th Article took a long while to focus my thoughts. It was a big milestone and I try to write accordingly to the topic that God puts in my heart or that pesky thought on the back burner in my mind. The State of The Union, though got in the way of focusing on any one particular issue like I have with my first 100th article about my experience being an aunt and abortion. I recently wrote a bit about IVF earlier this week so focusing in on a different topic on my heart just seemed difficult to pinpoint.
Perhaps that was God’s point. The State of the Union was the topic of interest after all. So I finally just went with it and it eventually came out. Once I was finished I knew I had a limited time of laptop charge but I was going to watch the speech on here rather than watch the biased media on CBS or NBC; I really can’t stand to hear them harp. I still thought I would have enough charge to make it through; I was wrong.
However, that may have been a Godsend for me as well. I made it through to about 10:30ish before my laptop cut me off from the Livestream. I was ready for that all of a sudden demise of my laptop. Biden had already insulted my intelligence and offended my ears. Unfortunately because I had to get my laptop in my room to my charger I missed a good portion of the rebuttal by the time I got it back up and going.
This morning while eating my late breakfast because I stayed up so very late it was nearly 9 am while I watched the full rebuttal by Senator Katie Britt. She nearly had me in tears a couple of times. Her performance was right on spot outshining anything the SOTU could with Biden speaking. Could this put her on the Vice President short list that is actually getting longer? She was relatable and apparently more my age than I thought which also took me by surprise with how beautifully worded and eloquent her speech or rather oratory truly was last night.
Back to last night and Biden’s speech though, I have heard Former Speaker Newt Gingrich’s thoughts, Sean Hannity’s and Laura Ingraham, but not much this morning as of yet. To begin with he was late because of Pro-Palestinian protesters, you would think the man claiming to be President would have the authority and power within the capitol police and his secret service to stop these neanderthals when it comes to something like the State of the Union. Yet he doesn’t want to offend them. The first mention in this blasphemous speech that was supposed to be about the State of our Union was about another country altogether; Ukraine. The man had one job talk about our Union and how to bring it back together he did everything but that. It is really insulting to the American people.
Lies, lies and more lies… that is all he could muster in this speech. Most of us knew this was coming he has nothing good to run on. He also seemed very hopped up and angry yelling quite a bit. He even went so far as to, Joey Jones said, “attack the Justices.” The Supreme Court Justices were right in front and he eyed them and went after them about Roe V Wade. Which is very un-presidential to do so period. Thank goodness Marjorie Taylor Greene, God love her she is fierce and determined. She forced him to say her constituents name Laken Riley of Georgia and in his begrudging way he butchered her name, but he had to say it because he wouldn’t have it wasn’t in the speech at all. After the speech he actually took the pin she gave him that also had her name on it.
I am certain I have missed some other points I had mentally noted last night. There were so many lies it was tiresome to watch. The only good thing about it was the fact God-willing it’s his last time to do so. The border bill was another instance the Republicans booed it and he took offence which was the funniest part of the night. Yet the Dems were following suit and saying it would have helped when it never actually closes the border it allows just as many to still come across and leaves the border open. It’s not a border bill.
It is also funny they talk about wanting to tax billionaires yet Biden and the Washington establishment are the billionaires that would be affected by this. So is this a good thing or a bad thing for them? Where did their billions come from?
Like I said it was quite a night with my charge running out and doing some cross-stitch also while listening to some of the garbage being thrown around. Yet that is politics in this day and age I guess, not much better than back in Abraham Lincoln’s time of running for election. He was called a Vampire by his fellow candidates among other things.
So much for a Strong State of the Union under this man.
