I believe in God not fate or destiny. However, in American History there was a theory about Westward Expansion early in our country’s toddler years. Ironically it was called “Manifest Destiny.” The people were still mostly in the 13 Colonies on the east coast territory some were quite happy where they landed, but others wanted adventure and something of their very own.
in the early 1800’s President Thomas Jefferson gave quite a task to two co-leaders. Captain Meriwether Lewis and Lieutenant William Clark. The Louisiana Purchase doubled America’s domestic total of land and these two men were put in charge of seeing what was out there and map it out for future use. I have a book of their diaries I actually purchased it up at our Indianapolis Museum many years ago it was a good book for my library. I have had to browse those pages many times to remember the specifics several times.
God is in control of our lives. Saying that it’s your fate only means that you are not willing to live your life with the gusto that God had intended you to do. He wants us all to use the skills He has given us, our purpose and do His will. When we do not follow His way. We will reap what we sow ourselves. God has given us family roots that nourish us and feed us until we are of age. There is a time when we have to make decisions for ourselves what type of nourishment are you receiving or have you received to believe in fate/destiny or to simply believe in God and His ways that have been proven through scripture.
