Saturdays

… Are my days to relax. To enjoy some Epsom Salt soothing and family time and gatherings. Lately it has also been a carefree day to wake up and be somewhat lazy for a bit.

This change has been good even though I do wake up and wonder what the writing prompt will spit out for an instruction. Some of the questions are challenges while others are monotonous and the fun is to change the answer around or answer in a different perspective than before. That is what I miss from taking the day off from the blog.

Yet being off of the blog has been clarifying. More ideas come to the surface that day it seems. yet my Sundays have been so busy lately I can’t always make up for actions or activities done on Saturday that maybe should be typed out. Some things are stirring about in my heart and yesterday as I said in an earlier article Sunday brought some thoughts together. While the song service at church also hit me hard yesterday as well. I will be speaking as to that soon also.

One of the stirrings in my heart is the Hallmark Series that is back on. “The Way Home” is my guilty pleasure to watch this season for the historian in me has already been quite incredible. The backdrop of the newest pond time-frame is 1814 the “War of 1812” and the British in Port Haven is quite intriguing especially now that the word “executions” has been mentioned. Okay that’s probably enough of a tease to those who have not seen it if you are interested enough in it as I am.

Last year at this time because of the first season of this Series I created a Time-Travel Series of Articles based on a trio of books, “The Carthage Chronicles.” They have once again come back to mind, but I am reading a World War 1 book right now by Kate Breslin. It’s been a while since I read it and Saturday I needed a new bath read since I finished “Eve” earlier last week. There’s nothing I love more than a good book while I rest my sore foot in some hot salty water as long as it is more warm than ice water. A couple of weeks ago that was a different story. I am very grateful to have a working water heater again. That hurt my foot for a good 24 hours afterwards with that cold bath.

Sometimes it’s funny how one day of taking a bit of a difference can change one’s outlook and demeanor. That was something I really needed to do, yet I feel like I am missing out when I don’t answer every writing prompt.
