What advice would you give to your teenage self?-Writing Prompt

What advice would you give to your teenage self?

My teenage years were intense. We moved from Bethel Baptist to Fellowship the year I turned a teenager. Music was my life and I very briefly experienced being a solo singer as a teenager at Bethel Baptist and was excited to do more, but at that time there was some conflict. Then we walked up the steps to Fellowship and before we knew it mom and uncle Tony were the pianists and Dad was again a Music Leader with the main leader Chuck and another one Dave Landis. The three of them went back and forth with it at that time when necessary. I was a musician and was enjoying performing at Fellowship and coming out of my shell.

In less than a year though something would happen that would open other topics and majors of interest to me. I guess my advice would be as much as music was my happy place do not let it be so easy to forget that life changes and having other interests is good in life and in job placement. Maybe if I hadn’t been so fixated on music I could have made sure a health career would have been easier to bank on. Yet is that God’s will? Music and history are ways God has worked in my heart so that others can see His ways better in the grand scheme of life.

I am still sorting out this morning in my mind and heart. I wonder what God is telling me even now and what His will is in what happened. How can I give my teenage self advice when I feel so obsolete at this moment?
