A Surprise

My emotions are still too high to talk about this morning so I will talk about yesterday. My mom’s older brother and wife came up to check on some things and chat. When they came in I was literally finishing my writing prompt. So I did hear Uncle Floyd’s here, but I was trying to finish up and finalize the publishing procedure.

Then mom came in and said Aunt Mary had something for me. I was puzzled a bit. My birthday was back a month ago. Why would she be giving me something. I already have all of the cross-stitch paraphernalia I wanted from her stash a few years ago. Yet I needed to also use the restroom so it must have seemed like I was taking my time but I really wasn’t. When I saw the stand I was in disbelief. She was giving me her cross-stitch stand. Wow!

I never thought I needed it or maybe it was just I knew personally it would be a substantial monetary amount for one of them. So I have never priced it for myself. So this is another big gift she has given me over the years besides the Cri-Cut Cutter and all of her books to take or copy any of the cross-stitch projects I wanted to have for myself. Included in that is in my tractor series which is amazing.

This is maybe what I needed after the snafu yesterday and then this morning that God thought enough to send through Aunt Mary to give me. It is very touching as well as a bit sad. She was again wearing a brace on her hand yesterday. She hasn’t done cross-stitch for a while and this is just her way of making sure it gets used by someone who will use it well.

I am still wary of potentially needing to wear braces or my copper fit gloves at times. I don’t have my braces anymore, but the copper fit still feels good to wear and I did feel like I needed them back in January for a bit. I have really been cooking with all of these little projects lately when I hadn’t been doing this so I don’t wan’t to overwhelm my hands I do enough of that with typing but I don’t want to burn out on a favorite hobby of mine like cross-stitch has been.
