Jewells of Thought

This morning has been very interesting to say the least. My routine was the same except I got up a little bit earlier for a scheduled interview late this morning. So I took my first pill that I have to take and wait for a while before I eat and take other pills. I slowly started warming up my breakfast which is a portion of a leftover Calzone from Tuesday. Yeah… there was enough left for two breakfasts in a row.

FInally it’s been about 15 to 20 minutes enough time to go ahead and eat and take the rest of my pills and supplements. Well in this whole time mom’s phone didn’t work so she had to use mine to call Uncle Tony. Then he couldn’t hear her at all on my phone. Apparently I hadn’t changed the settings from mom’s doctor’s appointment yesterday morning. So that was a close call so I thought. Wouldn’t have wanted that to happen during the interview at all.

My uncle gets a bit riled up because he can’t hear mom but there is also something else he needed to tell mom and they were communicating because of the phones. Fast forward just a little bit and I watch the Fox you-tube videos this phone bit isn’t just our nuisance. It is actually happening coast to coast. The irony is that I watched this and didn’t think that would happen to me with my own interview.

Another side story from last night is that I was having some trouble feeling something in my mouth. Yesterday night something just felt off. Then as I brushed my teeth it happened. I felt something come out of my mouth. Instantly I knew a cavity had to have come out I didn’t have anything else in my mouth at the time. Plus there was a hole where a cavity used to be. All week long I kept thinking when is Brittany going to call I couldn’t remember the actual day of my dentist appointment but it was something at the end of February in the 20’s. Still everyday I wondered when she going to call and I couldn’t find my card, but I had been trying to also put it in my phone too. I still didn’t see it.

Late last night another thought came through my mind. Oh my gosh what if Brittany calls during my interview in the morning! Then I tried to calm down and say no she will call before then or later on in the day surely. This was my late night thought though what if I have pain then in the morning with my breakfast what if I have to then miss my interview. I immediately chose to forget that line of thinking though. I’m grateful I haven’t had any pain when the cavity gave way last night or since.

So at 9:55 I got Brittany’s phone call reminding me of my appointment next week. I was nervous and happy to get this over with and be able to have her leave a message with the doctor about the lost cavity. So at least something got done this morning. However, that took me to 10 am I didn’t get a scheduled phone call from the recruiter I waited to make sure I wasn’t wrong and it was actually 10:30, but by 10:52 I sent a message trying to figure out what happened.

Thank goodness it didn’t take long to get a message back from the recruiter. I thought she would be calling from Vincennes well I was wrong she was calling from Texas. A location hit hard by this massive outage for AT&T and Verizon. She said my phone sounded disconnected and she did have the right number. Fortunately we were able to exchange a few texts and rearrange the interview for tomorrow. God-willing everything will work out smoothly then.
